Music Literacy Program Registration closes April 9th- no extensions!

MUSIC LITERACY PROGRAM – REGISTRATION IS OPEN THROUGH APRIL 9

Please consider registering your students for the SMTA Music Literacy Program (“MLP”) this spring! It is an exciting event that has proven to be popular with both teachers and students for years. You can learn more about the event, registration, fees, and scheduling here (scroll down to Music Literacy Program 2021). And, you can register at this link.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for this event will close on April 9, 2021. Due to scheduling constraints and timing, SMTA will not be extending registration beyond this deadline. All sections and categories will be held online via prescheduled Zoom meetings. In addition to, and separately from, the online Zoom meeting with a facilitator to complete sight reading, ear training, technique, and/or rhythm sections, students will need to plan for a second Zoom meeting to complete the written portion.

The written portion will be offered once in the morning and once in the afternoon on each of the days the MLP event is offered (5/1, 5/2, 5/8, 5/15, 5/16). Preferred meeting days/times can be noted during registration.

A student’s meeting with a facilitator may need to be scheduled on a different day from their meeting to complete the written portion.
If you have any questions, please contact the SMTA office at smtaoffice@gmail.com.

We hope to see you all on the road to literacy!
