SMTA Student Recitals

SMTA offers several different recital programs to provide performance experiences for well-prepared students of member teachers. Student recitals are also a wonderful way to showcase SMTA’s talented students and teachers.

Adult Student Soirees are held three times a year in private homes in the Seattle area. These welcoming events are casual and comfortable and offer an opportunity for adult students to play for a small audience. Contact Martha Garrett, Chair, for more information at marthajgarrett@comcast.net.

Student Recitals for younger students typically occur in January, April and November. These recitals give students from beginner to advanced a performance opportunity that is not adjudicated. It is especially attractive to students whose teachers do not put on studio recitals or who would like additional performance opportunities. Locations and event details will be announced here as the venues are booked.

The October Festival is an event open to all Seattle area music students where performers also present commentary about their music. Click the link for more information on this engaging performance event.
