We are very excited to announce the Jazz, Rags, and Blues Festival as a new program for the 2022-2023 season! This is an event to celebrate and discover the diverse subgenres of jazz. It takes place in a non-competitive recital setting, and students will be encouraged to introduce their piece and provide a short oral description of the piece’s history before performing. Both written and improvised pieces are encouraged.

Participation will be limited to students of SMTA members for this year’s inaugural event. All ages, instruments, and levels are welcome!
