The SMTA is a welcoming and inclusive organization. Our social events are an important component in our efforts to build a strong and supportive professional community of private music teachers. Events are generally open to SMTA members, prospective members, family, friends and guests- email for more info!

SMTA member pianist Karin McCullough accompanies soprano Katie Hochman in a free to the public Ladies Musical Club concert at the downtown Seattle Public Library in the Microsoft Auditorium from 12 noon to 1:00pm on Wednesday April 9, 2025. The program showcases local composers SMTA member Janet Anderson, Kam Morrill, and Eldon Leuning, with lyrics by poets Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Emily Dickinson, Gerard Manley Hopkins, John Keats, and Bob Weber.


Dear Members,  We will be heading to the Seattle Symphony for a concert on Thursday, April 10th in the evening, and would love to you have you join!   We will meet in the lobby at Benaroya at 7:00pm for wine and social time, and then the concert begins at 7:30pm.  The concert program is below!  We hope to catch up with you and see you there.  If you can let us know by 4/4 if you can make it, we will reserve a seat for you!
