Registration Open for February 6th Student Recital
Happy New Year, SMTA member teachers and students!
In what will surely cement a good start to the year, I'm thrilled to announce that we've opened registration for the second of three online student recitals the SMTA will be producing this year! The first managed to be a multi-instrumental show of no small repute, featuring good sports of all ages and abilities, and was widely agreed to have been a marvelous time.
The day, date, and time this time around are Sunday February 6th, at 2 PM, and in its entirety the recital will be constrained to roughly 80 minutes, with each teacher/studio being limited to 10 minutes altogether. To join in the fun, students will have to click on the link below and fill out the associated google form for each piece they plan to perform.
There are detailed instructions and explanations included on the form, and registration will run from Jan. 6th to Feb 1st (albeit a softer deadline, we want everyone that can to participate). Once signups are closed I'll send out a program and zoom link to all participating students/teachers, as well as a time during the week prior wherein I'll make myself available for sound checks and setup questions. Past that, on the day of I'll open the meeting an hour early (at 1 PM) for day of sound checks to ensure we have the best performances possible.
If after reading through the submission form you have any further questions, please reach out to Ryan Worswick (me, your trusty student recital chair) through smtaoffice@gmail.com, and I'll be happy to help. In the meantime we'll look forward to hearing what everyone's working on these days!
